Copying elements and widgets on website

Do you want to place several elements on your website with the same style or settings or even duplicate an element or a whole group of them? You don't need to create and edit each widget or group individually from scratch. BOWWE Web Builder allows you to quickly and conveniently copy widgets. In this tutorial, you will learn how to do it!

Important rules of copying elements at webiste:

BOWWE allows you to:

Copy elements between different pages of your website.

Copy elements between different tabs of the same browser.

Copy elements between different projects (domains) in your BOWWE account.

Remember:

The first time when you copy an element in the Creator, BOWWE will ask you for access the clipboard. Admit BOWWE this access. Otherwise, you will not be able to use the Copying function!

Copying elements at website. Step-by-step instruction:

Method 1 - standard copying

Open your website in BOWWE creator.

Select the element you want to copy with the left mouse button, then click right mouse button and select Copy or use the shortcut CTRL + C.

Click the CTRL + V keyboard shortcut.

The copied widget will appear next to the mouse cursor as drag-and-drop.

Point the cursor to the place where you want to place the copied widget.

If you point the widget to another widget's green markers, drop it to position relatively to the selected widget.

Click SAVE and PUBLISH.

Method 2 - Relative copying

This method is used to place copied widgets in a relative way.

Open your website in BOWWE creator.

Select the widget you want to copy with the left mouse button, then click right mouse button and select Copy o use the shortcut CTRL + C.

Find the place or elements (like Section, Section Contents, Column or Area) where you place the copied item.

Click the right mouse button and select Paste or use the CTRL + V shortcut.

The copied widget will be placed into the selected widget.

If there are already some items within the selected widget, the copied widget will paste under them.
